This project involved the demolition of a previous structure to make way for a new 6,300 sq ft building. A comprehensive design team was assembled, including structural engineers, mechanical and electrical consultants. The featured project was phase 2 of a three phase project, designed to allow continuation of the client’s business activities throughout. Phase 1 dealt with providing 1,700 sq ft of additional showroom area, converted from existing warehouse space. The design took into consideration the prominent corner plot nature of the site, which exhibits two primary elevations. The project is currently entering its 3rd phase, which sees the construction of a mezzanine floor area and internal conversion of the former warehouse to form an additional 2,500 sq ft of showroom area with a storage facility above. The completed phase 3 project will see the original sales area increased from 2,000 sq ft to 10,500 sq ft.
