SJR were commissioned to design and develop a new residence for a private client, within the extensive grounds of their existing property. The site was on an incline, with mature specimen Turkey Oak trees, dominating the landscape and all within a conservation area setting.
The design of the property is over 3 levels, to accommodate the falls of the land, and aesthetically draw parallels with its host property and the surrounding area, in line with consultations held with the Local Planning Authority Conservation Officer.
The completed project was awarded the Hartlepool Civic Society ‘Rose Bowl’ award, recognising it as the overall award winner for a development project in 2002.
