This project was commissioned by a private client, who operated an existing day nursery provision in the locality and was looking to expand. The project site was 2 no. adjacent late Victorian terraced properties, one of which had previously been used as bed-sits, the other a former single dwelling. Both properties were in a state of disrepair. All internal structures were removed and a steelwork frame introduced to provide one large open area across both properties and at both ground and first floor levels. This allowed the sub-division of the new space to create large room areas with centralised circulation routes and a glazed atrium. The project incurred our services from inception to completion, including interior design services.
